Areeba slashes int’l call rates to Lebanon, Indonesia

In fact, starting Thursday, July 20, and until August 15, Areeba will be subsidizing by 50% the cost of international calls to Lebanon and Indonesia, giving its subscribers with family and friends in the affected regions, the chance to communicate more frequently and for longer periods.

Areeba, the alternative mobile phone operator in Cyprus owned by the Lebanese-based Investcom Group, is trying to reduce the grief during the war in Lebanon and after the recent destructive Tsunami in Indonesia.

Areeba hopes that, through this humanitarian gesture, it can provide some measure of assistance to those struggling at this difficult time and will be able to communicate with their loved ones.
