Baghdatis qualifies in Roland Garros

Cypriot tennis star Marcos Baghdatis, ranked 19th in the world, defeated 84th seeded Spanish Albert Portas with 3-1 at the French Open Roland Garros and will play in the second round of the tournament taking place in Paris.

Baghdatis won the first two sets, 6-4, 6-4, while Portas won the third with 6-7.

Baghdatis won the fourth and final set 6-1.
