Russian foreign minister to discuss Cyprus in Athens

Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov arrives in Athens on Monday on a working visit, during which he will also discuss the Cyprus issue, according to the Cyprus News Agency.

Lavrov will meet Greek Premier Kostas Karamanlis, his Greek counterpart Petros Molyviatis and the President of the Hellenic Republic (Greece) Karolos Papoulias.

The priorities of the agenda of the talks between the two Foreign Ministers are bilateral relations, the Cyprus issue, issues of regional interest such as the Balkans, Kosovo, the Middle East, and the latest developments with regard to Iran’s nuclear programme.

Following the meeting, Molyviatis and Lavrov will give a press conference and then continue their discussions with a working lunch.
