Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades travels to London on Sunday to take part in a special event dedicated to Cyprus at Buckingham Palace.

As a guest of the Royal Family, he will have meetings with Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, in his capacity as future head of the Commonwealth, and Duke of Cambridge William, as well as with British Prime Minister Theresa May.

Cypriot government spokesman Prodromos Prodromou said Anastasiades was invitated by the Royal family to take part in an event in honour of Cyprus within the framework of Commonwealth, entitled “Celebration for Cyprus.”

The event, taking place at Buckingham Palace, includes a special ceremony, three exhibitions, one with archaeological artefacts from Cyprus, one comprising old authentic maps of Cyprus and a thematic exhibition on university and academic cooperation.

President Anastasiades will address the ceremony on Cyprus.
