CYPRUS: It will be a mild and sunny Christmas Day with rain on the horizon

It will be a mild Christmas this year with the day in Cyprus being mainly sunny on Tuesday with periods of cloudy skies.

The temperature will be above the seasonal average and rise to around 18 degrees Celsius inland and on the coast and around 9 degrees on higher ground.

On Christmas Day, the weather will be partly cloudy in the morning to become mostly cloudy as the day progresses.

Boxing Day, the weather will be partly cloudy, with occasional showers or even local storms, especially in the morning and in the evening.

 

On the highest peaks of the Troodos mountains it may snow, especially in the evening. The temperature will fall slightly, to be around the norm for this time of year.

On Thursday, it will be mostly cloudy, while local showers or even isolated storms, as well as some light snow in the mountains. Temperature will fall to below the seasonal average to 12 degrees Celsius.

On Friday, the weather will be mostly clear. The temperature will rise slightly but still feel relatively chilly.
