EY has been recognised as a leader in middle market consulting in the first IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Middle Market Business Consulting Services 2016 Vendor Assessment.

The IDC report named EY as one of the leading providers of consulting services to middle market firms, rating the assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services organisation as providing “high-quality service” and helping clients manage risk.
According to the report, EY is considered by middle market clients to be “among the best” organisations for helping them identify options for growth and improve the experience of their end customers and at providing functional or technical insights, for example through the EY 7 Drivers of Growth framework and EY Growth Navigator diagnostic tool. In addition, EY is seen to be better than many of its peers at helping clients manage risk, transform processes and become more efficient enterprises.
The IDC MarketScape report evaluates companies based on a comprehensive framework and set of parameters that assess global business consulting service providers relative to one another. It also examines factors expected to be most conducive to success in a given market.
“The middle market, which is made up of companies that form the backbone of the global economy. EY is dedicated to being by the side of these firms as they plot and embark on their growth journeys and our track record over more than 30 years means we’re uniquely placed to guide them through today’s interconnected and complex global economy,” said Annette Kimmitt, EY Global Middle Market Leader.
Adrian Godfrey, EY Advisory Services Middle Markets Leader, added: “While all middle market companies seek growth, they face unique challenges and circumstances. What we know from years of experience advising these organizations is that the most successful ones focus on a broad set of capabilities to achieve their growth ambitions, including strategy, customer, finance, risk, talent, operations, technology and digital, among others. We’re delighted that the work we do with clients to help them in their growth journey has been recognized.”
IDC’s Cushing Anderson, Program Vice President, Business Consulting Services, explained: “Direct feedback from buyers and our assessment of the market shows that EY is strong at providing industry insights and helping clients expand into new markets and geographies, all factors that we know buyers of middle market consultancy services value highly and where only a few consulting firms succeed.”
