CYPRUS: Deflation continues in May, more upbeat from April

Cyprus recorded a rate of deflation of 1.9% in May, slightly more upbeat than the -2.1% in April, official data published on Tuesday show.


 
According to data from the Statistical Service, the corresponding deflation rate for May last year was -1.7%.
The data is based on the evolution of the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices for May 2016, with its new base year 2015=100.
