CYPRUS: CIIM concludes first SHRM Certification programme

Human resource (HR) professionals in Cyprus were offered the opportunity to attend the industry-designed Human Resource professional certifications Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) developed by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) in the US.

 
CIIM’s associated international expert, Brad Boyson, joined CIIM to offer the first preparatory course to a group of 18 HR professionals from multinational and local firms. The executive training programme for the SHRM certifications took place at CIIM Nicosia premises on June 1-3.
For seven decades, the SHRM has been the leading provider of resources for the global HR community. It is the world’s largest HR professional society, representing 285,000 members in more than 165 countries.
Its professional certifications, the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP serve the know-how to deal with challenges faced by HR practitioners and advance the practice of human resource management of today’s businesses.
The certifications examine nine essential HR competencies including leadership, ethical practice and global and cultural effectiveness.
The Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM) has been accredited by the SHRM to be a trusted partner and offer preparation courses for the SHRM professional certifications.
CIIM announced that the next intake of the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP preparatory course will take place in Autumn 2016. Further information can be obtained at http://execedu.ciim.ac.cy/shrm .
