CYPRUS: Toyota supports music and dance fest to mark 50 years

Dickran Ouzounian & Co. Ltd. is celebrating 50 years of cooperation with Toyota Motor Corporation this year by hosting a number of events to mark the occasion. After organising the record-breaking parade of 744 cars in June, the authorised importers and distributors of Toyota in Cyprus are now supporting the Rotary Club of Nicosia’s presentation of a special folk music and dance festival on September 30.

“Cyprus of Love and Dreams” will feature the Greek-Cypriot, Turkish-Cypriot, Armenian and Maronite communities in the spirit of co-operation, fellowship, goodwill and peace. The Limassol Folklore Association, the bi-communal Choir for Peace in Cyprus, the “SIPAN” Armenian Dance ensemble, as well as the Maronite community choir will present their most talented performers on the night. A musical welcome by the highly respected Michalis Terlikkas, together with other folk singers, will also feature.
All the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Foundation to support their two Day Care Centres and the ELPIDA Foundation which supports children with cancer and leukaemia.
“Cyprus of Love and Dreams” will be held under the auspices of President Nicos Anastasiades and will be attended by the Minister of Education and Culture, together with the religious leaders from all the communities.
