Maserati, the leading manufacturer of sports cars renowned for their chic design, elegance luxury and of course performance, has finally presence in Cyprus with its first ever showroom opening its doors in Limassol.
Inaugurating Maserati’s first showroom on the island on Friday December 5th 2014, Mr. George Lakkotrypis, Minister of Commerce, Industry, Energy & Tourism expressed his satisfaction that a car manufacturer of the magnitude and prestige of Maserati now has presence in the Cyprus market. During his address, the Minister underlined the government’s dedication in further developing commerce, which will undoubtedly contribute in stimulating the Cyprus economy and shall reinforce the country’s efforts in returning to a path of growth. “The fact that colossal names in the field of car manufacturing, such as Maserati, choose to have presence in our country is nothing less than yet another solid indication of the trust that investors from both Cyprus and abroad place in the Cyprus market.”
The Minister congratulated the shareholders of FLC. Modena Automobile Ltd for securing Maserati’s representation on the island but also Maserati itself since this year marks its 100 year anniversary from its founding in 1914.
Also present at the inauguration ceremony were: Mr. Marios Demetriades, Minister of Communication and Works, H.E. Mr. Guido Cerboni, Ambassador of Italy in Nicosia, Members of parliament, members of diplomatic corps, personalities from Cyprus’ socioeconomic life, a team of Maserati Executives headed by Mr. Saverio Campiglia -Area Manager for Eastern Europe, and Luigi Sepe – Dealer Network Development Manager Central-South Europe , as well as all those who appreciate the unparalleled beauty and the ultimate driving experience offered by Maserati. “We are extremely pleased with this launch, that right from its outset has brought excellent results” affirmed Luigi Sepe “and we are really glad to launch together this amazing showroom in the year, Maserati celebrates its Centennial”. The inauguration ceremony was followed by an official dinner to celebrate the arrival of Maserati in Limassol.
