EUROSTAT: Cyprus harmonised inflation accelerates in August

August harmonised inflation in Cyprus accelerated to 0.8% compared with the 0.1% of the corresponding period of 2013 when the island was facing deflation pressures, figures released by Eurostat on Wednesday show.

The Euro area average harmonised inflation remained unchanged to 0.4% compared with 1.3 in the corresponding period of 2013, whereas the EU average harmonised inflation stood at 0.5%.
