CYPRUS: IMF announced Delia Velculescu to be replaced by Mark Lewis

IMF announced the replacement of its Mission Chief for Cyprus Delia Velculescu by American Mark Lewis.

“After two and a half years as IMF`s Mission Chief for Cyprus and as part of her regular career progression, Delia Velculescu will be moving on to another IMF assignment at the end of September, once the fifth review of the IMF-supported program and the Article IV Consultation are expected to be concluded”, IMF said in an announcement.

According to the announcement, Delia Velculescu will be replaced by Mark Lewis, a US national who has been with the Fund since 1995. Mark Lewis has had a number of country responsibilities during his career at the IMF, including Russia, Morocco, Armenia and Turkey.

He will lead the team that will conduct the next(sicth) review of the program later in the Fall, the announcement concludes.
