A delegation of the organisation "Volunteer Doctors – Cyprus", in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry, will depart on a humanitarian mission to Serbia to offer relief to the victims of the worst floods that hit the country, which claimed lives and caused mass evacuations.

The delegation, comprising four doctors and nurses, headed by the Vice President of the organisation, Dr Andreas Neofytou, will offer medical aid to the victims, while a second mission may follow with more medical staff.

"There is a dramatic situation in many parts of Serbia and there is urgend need for immediate aid” a press release by the organisation says.

The mission departs for Serbia on Thursday morning.
