MTN Cyprus, the island’s second biggest telco, has launched a flexible service, Broadband-in-a-box, allowing subscribers to enjoy unlimited internet at home, at a holiday home or anywhere else in the country, with high 3G+ speeds and without a fixed telephone line.
Customers simply plug the special Huawei device into a power socket which is available with a monthly or 24month contract at €29.90/month. It comes with a special device and a SIM card which allow easy and direct access to the Internet in just few hours after the purchase of the service.
MTN Cyprus http://www.mtn.com.cy/ , a wholly-owned subsidiary of the South Africa-based MTN Group, has embarked on an aggressive expansion plan with the aim of reaching state-owned Cyta, both in fixed line and mobile services.
The yellow-label company operates 18 ΜΤΝ Stores throughout Cyprus and has recently introduced a pilot ‘MTN Business’ centre in Nicosia aimed at corporate customers. It employs 400 people and is the main sponsor of local football champs APOEL FC.
