NIKI now operating flights from Cyprus to Austria

The first scheduled NIKI service from Vienna to Larnaka Airport touched down in Cyprus on 31 January 2014. The Austrian airline, part of the airberlin group, will initially offer two weekly services from Vienna to Cyprus. A third weekly service departing every Wednesday will be added on 7 May 2014.

Before then, visitors from Cyprus can also fly from Larnaka to Vienna directly on Mondays and Fridays leaving at 15.25 and landing in the capital of Austria at 17.40. The flight from Vienna International Airport to Larnaca takes off at 10.50 and arrives at Larnaka Airport at 14.45 on those days. This new route is aligned to the airberlin schedule, offering travellers from Cyprus optimal connections to the German group’s international network. Onward flights to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hanover, Munich and Nuremberg are available with attractive layover times. Furthermore, connections to Milan, Moscow, Zurich and New York among others are also available.

Hermes Airports welcomed the first guests arriving at Larnaka from Vienna with a refreshing surprise when they landed – in keeping with aviation tradition the incoming aircraft was met with a water salute.
