A total of eight flights inbound and outbound from Larnaca and Thessaloniki are affected by the air controllers’ strike in Greece on Thursday, Hermes spokesman Adamos Aspris has said.

In statements he made to the press Aspris said that so far it does not seem that any flights departing from or arriving to Pafos airport will be affected.

He acknowledged that they have received notification on the part of Greek Air Traffic Controllers that they intend to go on strike between 15.00 and 17.00 hours, on Thursday.

The flights affected are four departures to and four arrivals from Athens and Thessaloniki, he noted.

So far, Aspris pointed out, it seems that there will be no cancellations but rather a change in the original schedule of the affected flights, adding that this may mean that flights might depart earlier or later.

Public travelling to Greece should contact the airlines in order to avoid inconvenience, he said.
