Cyprus transport sector down by 5.6% in January – March 2013

Cyprus' transport sector declined by 5.6% in the period of January – March 2013, figures released Friday by the Statistical Service show.

According to the indices compiled by CyStat, Land Transport fell by 5.4% in January – March, sea transport plunged by 52.7%. On the contrary air transport registered a marginal increase by by 0.6%.

The «Postal and Courier activities» turnover value, declined by 10,1%, compared to the corresponding period of 2012.
