Cyprus did not qualify for the Eurovision final

Cyprus did not make it to the Eurovision final that will take place on Saturday in Malmö, Sweden.

Cyprus participated in the first semi-final of the 2013 Eurovision song contest on Tuesday evening with Despina Olympiou and the song “Αν με θυμάσαι – If you remember me”.

The ten countries that qualified last night are Moldova, Lithuania, Ireland, Estonia, Belarus, Denmark, Russia, Belgium, Ukraine and the Netherlands.

The second semi-final will take place on tomorrow. The final will be held on Saturday with the participation of 26 countries. The six countries which go straight to the Grand Final are France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the UK and Sweden, last year’s winner.
