An informative meeting, which aims to promote Cypriot participation in the present and future calls of the European Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) project for research, will be held on Tuesday July 3, at the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics.
The meeting is specially addressed to interested parties from the pharmaceutical industry, academia, SMEs, patient organisations and regulatory agencies.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Health, the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation, the CING and the Cyprus Association of Research and Development Pharmaceutical Companies (KEFEA), which is also the sponsor.
Among the speakers will be IMI Executive Director Michael Goldman.
The IMI is Europe’s largest public-private initiative aiming to speed up the development of better and safer medicines for patients. With a budget of 2 bln euros, this initiative supports collaboration for research projects and promotes the building of networks of industrial and academic experts for the development of innovative medicines in Europe.
IMI is a joint undertaking between the European Union and the pharmaceutical industry association EFPIA.
