Just like Turkish Cypriot spending in the south, the main drop seems to have been broadbased, with spending on clothes down to 20.3% to EUR 70,723 and spending on entertainment down which includes casinos, down 15.0% to EUR 121,791.
Spending on hotels declined by only 0.3% to EUR 201,549.
For the first ten months of the year credit card spending both north of the Green Line and in Turkey fell b 4.4% to EUR 8.81 mln, from EUR 9.02 mln in the first ten months of 2010.
Spending in the north only accounted for around half, at EUR 4.3 mln. There are no comparable figures for 2010 for spending only north of the Green Line.
