Trade deficit shrinks to prelim EUR 391 mln in July

The trade deficit shrank in July to EUR 390.9 mln according to preliminary estimates from the Statistical Service, a drop of 7.1% on the deficit of EUR 420.7 mln in July 2010.
Total imports/arrivals from other EU member states reached EUR 510.8 mln, according to the preliminary estimates.
Of this total, EUR 343.8 mln constituted arrivals from other member states of the EU and EUR 167.0 mln imports from third countries.
Total exports/dispatches to other member states reached a preliminary EUR 120.0 mln.
Of this, EUR 77.5 mln were dispatches to other EU member states and EUR 42.5 mln exports to third countries.
For the period January-July 2011 the trade deficit is preliminarily estimated at EUR 2.85 nln, from EUR 3.02 bln in the same period of 2010.
