Cystat launches 2011 census website

The Statistical Service of Cyprus has announced the launch of the website of the Census of Population 2011 at http://www.census2011.gov.cy.
The census is scheduled to start on October 1, 2011.
The website is intended to inform the public about the purpose of the census, the history of census taking in Cyprus, the content of the census questionnaire as well as the methods of collecting and capturing the data.
The website includes an online application form for employment in the census.
Interested applicants can fill out and submit the form electronically.
The previous census was carried out in 2001.
