The European Commission decided Wednesday April 20 on the appointment of Antonis Constantinou to the post of Director in charge of the Agriculture Development Programmes in the Directorate General of Agriculture in the European Commission (DG AGRI, E-II).

Constantinou is the first Cypriot citizen who has taken a high-level administrative post in the European Commission since the accession of the Republic of Cyprus in the European Union.

Constantinou, until now the Director in the Ministry of Agriculture, has a broad working and academic experience in agriculture-related issues and in agricultural development.
