EUMC president to visit Cyprus

General Rolando Moscha Moschini, President of the European Union Military Committee (EUMC), will be on an official visit to Cyprus from 21-24 April, following an invitation by the Commander of the National Guard, Lieutenant General Athanasios Nikolodemos.

A Defence Ministry press release said that he will meet the military and the political leadership, visit units and observation posts of the National Guard (Cyprus Army) and see archaeological sites in Pafos, on the western coast.

General Moschini, an Italian, has served from various posts in the artillery and directed the withdrawal operation of Italian troops from northern Iraq.
