The Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (CIPA) has established a Consulting Group of Experts for the Investment Funds, in an effort to attract investments to Cyprus.
According to a CIPA announcement, the need for the team of experts came out the results of a survey about the banking sector. It comprises three persons with good knowledge and experience on investment funds, headed by Angelos Gregoriades, member of the CIPA board.
CIPA was established in 2007 and is fully funded by the government. The board of 13 directors (10 from the private, 3 from the public sector) was appointed for an initial four year term.
The agency’s mandate is to promote Cyprus as an attractive international investment centre in key priority growth sectors, to advocate reform in order to improve the regulatory and business environment and infrastructure, and to provide investor support.
