BusinessGlobal, the first on-line international trade exhibition centre promoting trade between the EU and China has officially commenced operations promising to bring immediate benefits for companies seeking to expand markets while at the same time keeping costs under control.
BusinessGlobal founder and Chairman Andreas Kaisis told the launch presentation in Nicosia attended by House President Marios Garoyian, KEVE President Manthos Mavromatis as well as guests from China and outgoing Chinese Ambassador to Cyprus, Zhao Yali, that on-line exhibitions are not only business friendly but also environmental friendly since they eliminate the need for travel, shipment of exhibits and materials which help to lower CO2 emissions.
The website www.businessglobal.com promises to recreate the experience of a world-class conventional international trade exhibition with all the benefits of being on-line, offering companies a platform to interact, learn, develop business relationships and explore business opportunities while exhibiting their products and services to international buyers.
This new concept of an on-line international trade exhibition has been embraced by governments and trade organisations, chambers of commerce and international trade centres.
In China, BusinessGlobal.com has partnered with the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation (CEATEC).
Vice President of CEATEC, Wu Haiyu who was present at the launch of operations in Nicosia said that “due to the continuous shrinking of the global economy, the success of developing markets is being halted, affecting all types of business activities, therefore an on-line international trade exhibition is the ideal solution for businesses to expand their activities abroad.”
Kaisis said more than 3,000 Chinese companies and organisations joined the first exhibition organised and hosted by BusinessGlobal.
“The daily visits to the site is also rising with online visitors now exceeding 25.000 and climbing,” said Kaisis, adding that the number of online visitors is likely to exceed 1.2 mln over the course of the exhibition.
Following on the success of 'The Best of China' international trade fair, BusinessGlobal is organising its second online event, “The Euro-China Partnership and Investment Fair” in partnership with CEATEC and with the support of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce. The event is geared to enterprises interested in new investment opportunities, partnerships, licensing, franchising and patented technology agreements.
BusinessGlobal.com is a member of the International Merchandising Center (IMC), with a mission is to stage virtual exhibitions that will allow businesses to leverage the power of the Internet in order to promote their products, services and investment opportunities.
