Jewish Community in Cyprus celebrates the Jewish New Year

The Jewish New Year commences Friday night and the Cyprus Jewish Community Centre in Larnaca organizes a serious of events.

A press release issued in Larnaca says that on the occasion of the Jewish new year 5770, ''Rosh Hashanah'', Rabbi of Cyprus Arie Zeev Raskin extends his wishes to the Jewish community in Cyprus.

In the press release, Rabbi Raskin expresses his wishes for lasting peace in Israel and the world.

''May we celebrate a truly blessed and joyous new year in a world perfected and redeemed'', he notes.

The holidays of the New Year, are annually celebrated by the Jewish community in Cyprus with much splendor, in events organized by the Cyprus Jewish Community Centre in Larnaca.
