MTN Cyprus supports Apoel in Champions League bid

MTN Cyprus, Apoel football club’s main sponsor, announced that it will be the exclusive sponsor of Apoel during the Group Stages of the Champions League games, in addition to the appearances throughout the season.
The MTN Group has created a long tradition in supporting sports and especially football championships in the countries it operates. Through these sponsorships MTN returns the trust it receives from society, which is why it will also sponsor the 2010 World Cup to be held in South Africa.
Bassel Jamaleddine Chief Executive Officer of MTN Cyprus congratulated Apoel for its achievement in Europe and assured the club and its fans that MTN will support them in this effort as well. In addition, he pointed out that this success benefits not only Apoel, but Cyprus football in general, since the Champions League is the biggest football institution in Europe.
