The World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE), the Worldwide Federation of Overseas Cypriots (POMAK) and the International Coordinating Committee “Justice for Cyprus” are strengthening their efforts towards the realisation of their vision of Hellenes worldwide for a united and prosperous Cyprus.

According to a SAE press release, this was the message communicated to the President of the Republic Of Cyprus Demetris Christophias, by the leaders of the Diaspora, in a meeting here on Tuesday.

The President briefed the attendants on recent developments in Cyprus, emphasising the fact that a settlement is sought which will lead to the termination of the Turkish occupation and the unification of Cyprus, within the framework of a bizonal, bi-communal federation.

The President thanked them deeply for their support and their constant help.

Within the framework of their meeting, the President of SAE Stefanos Tamvakis thanked President Christofias for the comprehensive briefing, emphasizing the drastic actions which are being taken by members of the SAE Board, in every continent, in close cooperation with other overseas Cypriot organizations – POMAK and PSEKA – aiming towards a wider promotion of the issues regarding the occupation of Cyprus.

The Presidents of PSEKA and POMAK Harris Sophokleides and Phillip Christopher, the President of NEPOMAK Christos Karaolis, the Honorary President of SAE Andrew Athens, as well as Presidents of various Cypriot Federations of the Diaspora attended the meeting.
