Cyprus and Iran sign Agreement on Investments

Cyprus Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Antonis Paschalides signed an Agreement with the Iranian Minister of Finance for the Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments between Cyprus and Iran. 

Paschalides, who was on an official visit to Teheran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart had a series of meetings on Monday with the Iranian Minister of Commerce, the President of Iran’s Tourism Authority and Vice President of the Government, and with the Minister of Finance. 

During these meetings, Paschalides discussed ways of further developing the bilateral financial and commercial relations, as well as the relations on tourism and investments. During the meeting with the Iranian Finance Minister, Paschalides signed the Agreement for the Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments between Cyprus and Iran. 

Paschalides attended on Tuesday a business forum, in which the advantages of Cyprus as an international business centre were discussed. He also held meetings with the officials of the Iran and Teheran Chambers of Commerce.
