Cyprus Airways will be cancelling their two flights from Larnaca to Athens via Paphos and their flight from Athens to Larnaca via Paphos, as of March 30, 2009.

In a press release, Cyprus Airways says these flights will be direct from Larnaca to Athens and from Athens to Larnaca.

The decision was taken after examining all facts regarding the stop in Paphos, which were deemed non-profitable and were a negative factor in bookings, leading many passengers to choose other carriers for a direct flight.

Furthermore, the cost of the flights was high due to extra fuel needed, as well as the double landing and take off fees.
