Applications are invited for a EUR 2 mln Grant scheme to encourage broad sections of the Turkish Cypriot community to meet and get to know their counterparts in the European Union. It is part of the EUR259 mln EU Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community,
This is the second call for proposals under the programme for Promotion of Youth Exchanges and Other People-to-People Contacts, which allows Turkish Cypriots to meet and get to know their counterparts in the European Union through participation in a wide range of activities.
The aim of such activities, taking place in EU Member States (in the other 26 Member States), is to improve the understanding of European values, experiences and multi-cultural traditions. Activities include, for example, attending events such as festivals, fairs or conferences, sporting events, summer university sessions or youth camps, organising exchanges with other European counterparts, setting up study visits, internships or training sessions.
The grant scheme is being proposed to two types of applicants, each addressing a specific section of Turkish Cypriot Civil Society:
• Individuals and informal groups
• Civil Society Organisations
