Moscow reaffirms commitment to develop Russian-Cypriot relations

Moscow has reaffirmed its commitment to develop Russian-Cypriot relations, according to a Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release.
Referring to Wednesday's meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Titov with Cyprus' new Ambassador in Moscow Petros Kestoras, the Russian Ministry says ''the commitment to the development of the traditionally friendly relationship between Russia and Cyprus was reaffirmed in the spirit of the befitting mutual understanding and cooperation.''
The press release says that, during the meeting, Titov and Kestoras exchanged views on current international problems and fundamental bilateral issues, and Kestoras presented a copy of his credentials.
According to the Russian protocol, the original credentials are submitted to the President of the country, during an official ceremony to welcome foreign ambassadors at the Kremlin.
