Scotland-based Canvas Holidays estimates the value of Ayia Napa’s Nissi Beach at £25 mln putting it among the world’s top 15 most valuable destinations.

"Nissi Beach continues to attract praise and to be in the list of the top beaches of the world, along with the famous beaches of Copacabana in Brazil, Pampelonne in St. Tropez and Venice Beach, California," said a Municipality of Ayia Napa statement.

Following glowing travel reports from CNN and Trip Advisor, Canvas Holidays included Nissi Beach in the world`s top 15 beaches, the Municipality adds. Nissi is also one of the most snapped beaches on Instagram

The municipality also pointed out that Canvas Holidays, apart from the beauty of each beach, focuses on the real estate value, multiplying the average price per square metre in the same location with the size of each beach.

After Honolulu`s famous Waikiki Beach, with a value of £50 mln, the estimated total value of Nissi Beach is £25 mln, ranking it 13th place on the list.

The findings showed that out of the world’s 15 most popular beaches, Venice Beach topped the list with a value of £2.39 bln.

According to the study carried out by the international camping website Canvas, the size of Nissi Beach is 17,778 sq.m while the property value per sq.m is £1,407.

The top five most valued beaches after Venice Beach were; Bournemouth (UK), Copacabana (Brazil), Pampelonne (France), Bondi beach (Australia) and Pink Sands (Bahamas).
