CYPRUS: BOCH wins Global Finance ‘best subcustodian bank’ award

Bank of Cyprus has been named Best Subcustodian Bank in Cyprus for 2017 for the fourth consecutive year, according to the annual recognition awarded by Global Finance magazine.


 
The publication granted the same award to Bank of Cyprus in the past three consecutive years, and this recognition serves as a confirmation of the high quality global custody services offered by Bank of Cyprus, the bank said in an announcement.
The selection of the Best Subcustodian Bank is based on the evaluation of various custody service criteria, such as the quality and reliability of the services offered, the efficiency of settlement of transactions and the relationship with clients.
The Custody and Trust Department of Bank of Cyprus offers a comprehensive range of custody services in the global financial markets worldwide. Beyond custody, the bank acts as Depositary for Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and Undertakings for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities (UCITS), according to the relevant legislation, providing custody and oversight services to maximize the protection of investors and enhance the efficient performance of the fund.
The Global Custody Services offered include settlement of transactions, safekeeping of titles, execution of corporate actions, proxy voting, collection and tax treatment of coupons and dividends.
Custodian services supplement a wide range of products and services offered by the Wealth and Markets Division of Bank of Cyprus, which include Private Banking, Institutional Wealth Management & Global Markets, Investment Banking, Asset Management and Global Brokerage.
