WISTA Cyprus organised a unique training course for its members and friends, titled “Braindancing Via AdaptAgility,” at the Columbia Plaza Venue Centre in Limassol, which was transformed into a “ballroom” for a ‘Braindancing’ session.
WISTA is a networking organisation for women at management level in the maritime industry which aims to facilitate the exchange of contacts, information and experiences among its members, promote and facilitate the education of its members, and provide liaison with other related institutions and organisations worldwide.
The workshop was led by the Dilip Mukerjea, ex-marine engineer in shipping and current visionary thought leader, originally from India and based in Singapore, keynote speaker and author of a series of books on “The Creative Brain.”
Welcoming the participants with instructions to bare their own “personal shields” when entering the room, Mukerjea presented a fun, highly interactive and fast-paced seminar aiming in optimising brain power.
Following the motto “Life is not logical, it’s physiological” and “Be distinct, not obsolete,” during this full day workshop, Mukerjea provided all participants with the opportunity to learn new techniques and strategies for dealing with and when applying:
– Emotional / strategic intelligence and communication
– Pressure and stress management for effective decision making
– Understanding the importance of agility and innovation
– How to grow as an individual and become a better leader / person through future ready brain skills for the 21st century.
“Braindancing via AdaptAgility,” as described by a number of participants, was an opportunity for learning, utilising and developing creative skills in a relaxed atmosphere, escaping for a while from routine and of course a great opportunity for networking, meeting in full the aims of WISTA Cyprus in hosting this workshop.
