SHIPPING: Nicholas Pavlidis heads BOC’s new Finance Department

The Bank of Cyprus announce the appointment of Nicholas Pavlidis as Head of its newly established Shipping Finance Department.


 
Pavlidis has extensive experience of over 20 years in the sector having worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) in London and Piraeus where he held the position of Senior Director in Ship Finance since 2003.
Prior to RBS, Pavlidis worked at Scotiabank in London, where he held the positions of Director Transportation Finance from 2000 to 2003 and Associate Director Transportation Finance from 1994 to 1998.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and holds a Masters degree in Shipping, Trade and Finance from Cass Business School, City University and a Masters degree in Spacecraft Technology and Satellite Communications from University College London.
The Shipping Finance Department will be part of the International Banking, Wealth and Markets Division of the Bank and Nicholas Pavlidis will be reporting to Louis Pochanis, Director International Banking, Wealth and Markets.
