CYPRUS: Deposits up in February

Total deposits in February rose EUR 174.9 mln, compared with a net increase of EUR 148.8 mln in January, the Central Bank of Cyprus said.


 
The annual growth rate stood at 6.2%, compared with 6.0% in January.
The outstanding amount of deposits reached EUR 49.3 bln in February, compared with EUR 49 bln in January and EUR 46.2 bln in February 2016.
Total loans in February increased by EUR 139.1 mln, compared with a net decrease of EUR 86.4 mln in January. The annual growth rate stood at -6,3%, compared with -6,6% in January.
Τhe outstanding amount of loans reached EUR 55.2 bln in February, compared with EUR 54.9 bln in January 2017 and EUR 59.2 bln in February 2016.
