MARITIME: WISTA Cyprus welcomes ‘young affiliates’

 
During the association’s fourth AGM held at the Columbia Plaza Venue Centre in Limassol, the members approved an amendment to the Articles of Association to including the position of Young Board Affiliate. Subsequently, Gina Panayiotou was the first to be elected to the post.
WISTA Cyprus President Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou briefed members with her annual address and report of activities, as well as other membership matters.
The meeting also included election of new board members, while outgoing officers were honoured during the dinner that followed, attended by association members and friends.
The new board for 2017 is as follows:
President – Despina Panayiotou Theodosiou – Managing Director, Tototheo Group;
Vice President – Anna Vourgos – Director, Aphentrica Marine Insurance Brokers Ltd.;
Secretary General – Yvonne Tsanos – General Manager and Projects Manager, ÖL Shipping Group;
Treasurer – Tasoula Tsakanias – Financial Controller – Maestro Shipmanagement Ltd.;
Board members: Helen Joannou Chrysostomou – Managing Partner, Maritime Executive Recruiters Consultancy; Koula Louca – Divisional Manager, EMCO; and, Anna Pittalis – Commercial Manager, Intergaz Chartering Ltd.
Young Board Affiliate – Gina Panayiotou – Legal Manager, Intership Navigation Co. Ltd.,
Outgoing members Victoria Kostic-Nola, Luidmila Bozhedomova, Christina Tsanos-Panayides and Stella Kazamias were presented with honorary awards for their contribution to the organisation.
