CYPRUS: Gov’t invites third round of bids for Pentakomo techno park

The Ministry of Energy, Commerce, Industry and Tourism announced the call for tender for the development and operation of the Science and Technology Park at Pentakomo, near Limassol. The tender, the third time the government is offering it, is published on the e-Procurement Platform and requests proposals from interested strategic investors for the leasing of government land of approximately 328,000 sq.m. for a period of 50 years.

 
The government said in an announcement that it supports the establishment of the Science and Technology Park as a basic infrastructure for the promotion of applied research, innovation and technology in Cyprus, as well as a tool for both the development of entrepreneurship and smart specialization and the implementation of the national Digital Strategy. It is also expected that the Park will contribute considerably towards the diversification of the national economy and the transformation of Cyprus into a regional centre for applied knowledge.
