WEATHER: Cold front affects Cyprus, sea visibility ‘good’

The cold front affecting Cyprus is expected to continue into the night on Monday with snow in the mountains, as temperatures will drop to zero inland, 2C inland and -9C at higher altitudes, according to the Met Service.
On Tuesday, the light snow will continue over the mountains leading to light showers at lower levels. The temperature is expected to reach 9C inland, 11C along the coast and -2C in the mountains, with snow expected to continue into the night.
From Wednesday to Friday, the weather is forecast to be mainly clear, partly cloudy in some areas and a gradual rise in temperature.

Larnaca: 9 – 1C
Limassol: 10 – 3C
Paphos: 10 – 1C
Paralimni: 8 – 1C
Prodromos: -5 – -9C
Polis Chrysochous: 9 – 4C
In its forecast for the sea area, the Met Service said a cold air mass continues to affect the area. The weather will be at times cloudy with risk of light showers locally.
Visibility is ‘good’, sea surface temperature: 16C and warnings: NIL.
