After the biggest gyro, the oldest wine, farthest swim and oldest birth, Cyprus has entered the Guinness World Records once again, this time for the longest parade of Toyotas, organised by the local distributor www.toyota.com.cy to celebrate 50 years of cooperation with the Japanese car giant.

In all, 742 Toyota cars, vans and trucks of all ages and shapes took part in the parade on June 7, driving a loop around Nicosia, starting and finishing from the landmark GSP stadium just outside the capital.
Dickran Ouzounian, grandson of the company’s founder, led the procession in a 1965 Corolla, kept in immaculate and its original condition at the dealership’s garages.
The record breaks the previous parade of 426 Toyotas in Denmark.
The Guinness Organisation informed the dealership that “your application for Largest parade of Toyota cars has been successful and you are now the Guinness World Records Title Holder! You will shortly receive your Guinness World Records certificate in the post.”
