TRAVEL: Ryanair joins Facebook, launches ‘30 names 30 planes’

Ryanair joined Facebook on Thursday with a special competition and offered 1 mln seats at €20 each to mark its 30th anniversary and 100 mln customer milestone.


With Ryanair’s Twitter account now boasting over 160,000 followers, its YouTube channel with over 6 mln video views, as well as Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, the arrival on Facebook saw the launch of the ‘30 Names 30 Planes’ competition, offering 30 fans the chance to have their name and face pictured on one of 30 Ryanair aircraft. Entry is through the Ryanair Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ryanair/612861008745063?sk=timeline , where fans can upload their photo and the 30 lucky winners will be announced in September.
In addition, Ryanair has released 1 mln seats across Europe priced at €19.85 for travel between September and the end of January. These special birthday seats are available for booking on the www.Ryanair.com website until 24.00hrs on Sunday, July 12.
