CYPRUS: LaikoCosmos signs contract with Sodexo

LaikoCosmos Trading are pleased to announce that they have signed an agreement with Sodexo Cyprus Ltd to act as their logistics partner to supply the entire UK ambient and frozen grocery range to all British Forces Retail shops on the British Bases in Cyprus after being evaluated of their logistics and distribution capabilities. Sodexo provides a wide range of on-site services to the British Armed Forces Community in Cyprus including catering, retail, leisure and hotel services and the contract is for a 3+1+1 year period.

The ambient range will be supplied through Costcutter Supermarkets Group, one of the largest convenience retail groups in the UK, while the frozen range will be sourced mainly from Iceland UK, the prominent UK frozen food retailer, as well as from other well known UK and European suppliers. LaikoCosmos and Sodexo have also entered into an agreement with Delice de France for the exclusive supply of their well known in-store baking and snacking products.

As a result of this cooperation, the British Forces Cyprus Retail stores will from now on source the majority of their grocery range through LaikoCosmos Trading and their UK nominated suppliers, gaining access in this way to the latest and most up to date British grocery brands as well as to the Costcutter Supermarkets Group’s own brand Independent.
