CYPRUS: Charity dinner at Larnaka international airport

On March 7th, 2015, a charity dinner was successfully held at the Diner Onair restaurant at Larnaka International Airport. The dinner was jointly organized by Cyprus Airports (F&B), Hermes Airports and CTC-ARI. The objective of the event was to raise awareness for the Agios Spyridon Special School in Larnaka, for children with special needs.

The event included a buffet with culinary creations and live music by Cypriot musicians and singers Fani Ioannou, Dimitris Souroullas, Christos Pechlivanis, Stavros Eleftheriou and Keti Economidou – a soprano from the Cyprus Lyric scene. The highlight of the event came when Nefeli, a young student from Agios Spyridon, performed for the attendees (approximately 300) and amazed them with her captivating voice.

All proceeds from the charity event were donated to the Agios Spyridon Special School. The total amount raised exceeded €6,500 in addition to other revenues which were collected from lotteries and prize draws with many gifts offered by various companies in support of this fund-raising event.
