CYPRUS: Zambartas Rosé 2014 wins gold medal

Zambartas Wineries was awarded a gold medal at the Thessaloniki International Wine Competition in Greece for its Rosé 2014. Zambartas Rosé was among the three best Rosé wines of the competition and received a special mention, as "The Best Rosé Blend of a Greek and a Foreign Grape Variety" of the competition.

Thessaloniki International Wine Competition is organized under the auspices of the International Organization of Vine and Wine. Renowned Greek and foreign wine tasters, assessed wines and spirits from Greece and abroad. With over 550 samples entered in the competition, Zambartas Wineries is proud that the Zambartas Rosé was judged to be among the top wines of the competition.

Winemaker Marcos Zambartas said: "It is an honour to receive a gold medal from a very challenging tasting event like the Thessaloniki Wine Competition. Zambartas Rosé has been a favourite of wine aficionados for many years and this distinction justifies their choice."

The Zambartas Winery was established in 2006 and is situated in the Krasohoria region. It is family owned and run focusing on the production of quality wines from both foreign and indigenous Cypriot grape varieties.
