CYPRUS: Trade deficit widens in Jan-Nov as exports fall

The Cyprus trade deficit widened further in the January-November of 2014 to €3.41 bln compared to €2.91 bln in the same 11-month period in the year before.


Total imports (including imports from third countries and arrivals from other EU member states) increased to €4.73 bln in January-November 2014, compared to €4.41 bln in January-November 2013.
Total exports to third countries and dispatches to other EU member states dropped to €1.32 bln in January-November 2014 from €1.50 bln in January-November 2013.
November imports totaled €389.7 mln, while exports, including stores and provisions, amounted to €102.4 mln.
Εxports of domestically produced goods, including stores and provisions, accounted for €55.5 mln, whilst exports/dispatches of foreign goods, including stores and provisions, were €46.9 mln.
