CYPRUS: Anastasiades might be discharged from hospital later today

President Nicos Anastasiades is feeling much better today and it is possible that he will be discharged from the hospital in Brussels later today, sources told CNA Friday.

President of the Republic who traveled to Brussels to take part in the European Council meeting, yesterday suffered a prolonged nosebleed and was admitted to a hospital where tests established that he was suffering from hypertension.

In a written statement issued yesterday, Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides said that the President underwent nasal cauterization following a nosebleed and was admitted to a specialized hospital in the afternoon where he remained in the evening for strictly precautionary reasons.
