CYPRUS: President to have bilateral meetings in Milan

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades is scheduled to have bilateral meetings, in Milan on Thursday, with the leaders of Singapore and Malaysia and a number of heads of state of EU Member States, including the President of the Council of the EU, Italy.

According to CNA sources, these contacts will take place on the sidelines of the 10th Asia – Europe (ASEM), which takes place tomorrow and the day after the Italian city.

The President is also expected to meet with the outgoing President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy.

During the Summit, President Anastasiades will make an intervention in the thematic debate "Cooperation between Europe and Asia in addressing global challenges."

The President of the Republic, who is accompanied by government spokesman Nikos Christodoulides, returns to Cyprus on Friday night.
