RETHINK: Waste management companies meet under Life+ programme

Companies working in the field of waste management will have a consultation meeting on Thursday in the framework of the European Project Life «Rethink (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and the awareness campaign for Reduction, Reuse and Recycling of waste in Cyprus."

The meeting will be held at 10:30 am in the conference room "Tassos Papadopoulos" in CyBC facilities.

As organizers announced, the aim of the consultation is a thorough update of the stakeholders, on the actions and objectives of the program and mainly to express their views on how to best promote the reduction, reuse and recycling of waste in Cyprus.

At same same period there will also be similar meetings with other interested parties.

The project is implemented by a group of partners led by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation and with the participation of Cyprus News Agency, the Green Dot Cyprus, the Fost Plus in Belgium, the Department of Environment and the Pedagogical Institute.

The Environment Commissioner and the Association of Municipalities support the programme.

The program is funded by the EU programme LIFE + Environment Policy and Governance and its duration is 34 months.
